Groupe Souris Mini inc. is a Quebec City children's clothing company founded in 1989 by Annie Bellavance, now owned in equal thirds by the founding couple's holding company and two Quebec City businessmen after a 2018 restructuring. Collections are designed at the Quebec City head office and made by contract factories in Asia, mainly China, and sold only through the company's own Quebec boutiques and web store.

Factors

Ownership

CA 100%

Le Soleil reported in 2018 and 2019 that Gestion Steeve Beaudet (the founding couple Annie Bellavance and Steeve Beaudet), Financière Micadco (Michel Cadrin) and Gestion Natand (Denis Dussault), all Quebec holding companies, each hold one third of Groupe Souris Mini inc. after the Fonds de solidarité FTQ and BDC exited; the McCord Museum entry says the same. Corporations Canada returned zero results, so this is a Quebec provincial corporation, and the Registraire des entreprises du Québec could not be fetched to confirm the current shareholders.

Manufacturing

The founder told La Presse in 2008 the company chose Asia for garment production ten years earlier, Le Soleil reported in 2024 that products are designed in Quebec and made abroad, and Le Nouvelliste quoted her in 2025 as sourcing from factories in China; the McCord Museum entry names China and India. The company's Produits du Québec certification is Conçu au Québec, not Fabriqué au Québec, and the madeinca.ca listing that says manufactured in Quebec is contradicted by these sources. No revenue split by country is published, so all production is placed in OTHER.

The head office and distribution centre are on boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel in Quebec City, and the store locator lists 15 boutiques, all in Quebec. Le Soleil reported about 250 employees in 2024, 50 of them at the Quebec City head office and the rest in the stores. Any staff at Asian factories are contractors, not employees.

CA 10% · other 90%

The founder said in 2008 that the company has its own fabrics made in Asia rather than buying from other designers, and the garments are sewn there, so fabric, trim and finished goods come from OTHER. The small CA share is an estimate for design, packaging and the Shopify web store, which is Canadian; no supplier or material breakdown is published.
