Sustana Group, parent of the Rolland brand, was carved out of Cascades Inc. in 2014, bought by H.I.G. Capital (Miami private equity) in 2015, then sold to Blackstone Tactical Opportunities (New York private equity) in December 2021; a company profile current to 2026 still lists Blackstone as owner. Corporations Canada's federal registry returns no matching entity for Sustana or Rolland, consistent with a Quebec provincial registration that could not be checked directly (the Registraire des entreprises du Québec is bot-walled to fetch).

Both Sustana paper mills that produce the Rolland Enviro and Sustana EnviroCopy office paper lines are in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec. The company's separate fiber-processing plants in Lévis, Quebec and De Pere, Wisconsin make recycled pulp, an input, not the finished paper.
