Silva Custom Furniture

The vendor's own about page describes Silva as a 100% Canadian-owned manufacturer still run by the founding Silva family (second generation: Matt, Jon and Devon). Corporations Canada's federal search returned no result for the name, consistent with a provincial (Ontario) incorporation that this check could not reach.

Silva describes each piece as hand crafted from beginning to end on site at its roughly 40,000 sq ft Toronto facility, including building its own frames in-house, with no mention of any other production site.

The vendor's head office and manufacturing floor are both in Toronto, with a second showroom in Mississauga; no other location is named, so staff are taken to be concentrated at these Ontario sites.

Silva names kiln-dried maple and ash hardwood, foam, Dacron and springs as construction materials but discloses no supplier locations or countries of origin for wood, foam or fabric on its construction, finishes or textiles pages. This mix is an estimate reflecting typical North American sourcing of hardwood and upholstery components in this industry rather than a published figure, with a share held in OTHER for imported textiles and foam inputs common to upholstered furniture.
