Saputo's 2026 Management Information Circular states that as at May 31, 2026, Emanuele (Lino) Saputo beneficially owned or controlled 164,228,100 Common Shares, 41.01% of the class, through Jolina Capital Inc., the Fondation Mirella & Lino Saputo, and other Saputo family companies, and that he is the only person disclosed to hold 10% or more. The Common Shares are a single class and trade only on the Toronto Stock Exchange, so the remaining public float is allocated to Canada per the method's controlling-shareholder-plus-listing-venue rule; the float's actual holder countries are not broken out in the filing.

The 2026 Annual Information Form states the Canada Sector, which makes and sells the Dairyland, Neilson, Armstrong, Saputo cheese, Milk2Go, Baxter and Nutrilait products a Canadian shopper buys, operated 18 manufacturing facilities in Canada as at March 31, 2026, owning all but one. Frigo Cheese Heads is listed only under the USA Sector's brand roster, so a small US share is kept for that line rather than counting it as Canadian-made.

The group's US, International, Europe and Argentina sectors employ a further roughly 13,000 people but do not serve the Canadian shelf brands scored here.

The 2026 Annual Information Form states milk is the primary cost in the Canada Sector's manufacturing, and that due to the regulated, supply-managed nature of the Canadian dairy industry, Saputo can only source that milk through provincial milk marketing boards, i.e. Canadian farms. Other raw materials (packaging, cultures, flavourings for lines like the Baileys-licensed cream and Heluva Good dips) are sourced from unnamed suppliers, so a small non-Canadian share is kept for those.
