Ownership

Pelican Intl Inc., headquartered in Laval, acquired the assets of the bankrupt Pelican International Inc. and Confluence Outdoor Inc. in May 2025 through a CCAA and Chapter 15 sale process. The buyer group is led by former Pelican CEO Danick Lavoie and backed by Quebec investors Vincent Chiara of Mach, Marc Varadi of Rimap Hospitality, Luc Sabbatini of Ganesh Capital, and Charles Malo. Corporations Canada shows no federal registration for Pelican Intl Inc. or Pelican International, consistent with a Quebec provincial corporation, and the Registraire des entreprises du Quebec could not be checked directly.

Manufacturing

The company's own history page dates a Laval head office and manufacturing site to 2001 and a second plant in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield to 2016; the careers page still lists both Quebec sites as active facilities. A Greenville, South Carolina plant joined the group when Pelican acquired Confluence Outdoor's Wilderness Systems, Dagger, Perception, Boardworks and Advanced Elements lines in 2019 and is weighted lower here because this card covers the Pelican brand.
